| Description: | Idea Transform is a major new initiative, backed by the University of Cambridge's Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, to help entrepreneurs developing startup projects that can benefit society as a whole. It will cover sectors such as health, education, the environment, mobile and community. The event is being held in Cambridge but is open to entrepreneurs, students and business people from across the world. It will hold its first weekend event on 20-22 April 2012, bringing together people with ideas and those with the business, technical and marketing skills to help them develop projects over the course of the weekend, supported by a range of experienced mentors. Attendees get to listen to a full lineup of inspirational speakers, including the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Amadeus Capital Partners and Springboard. At the end of the weekend projects will be pitched and judged, with the winners receiving ongoing mentoring and support to help them develop into sustainable businesses. |
