CSR behind world's first Bluetooth HD audio headset

The world's first Wideband Speech - HD voice - Bluetooth headset has been released by LG using CSR chips at its core.

The CSR chip used for the headset (BC6145) is the first mono headset platform in the world to support the newly-ratified handsfree 1.6 Bluetooth profile, which includes Wideband Speech, which as well as improved voice capabilities, offers HD music streaming capabilities.

In the joint announcement, LG said CSR both worked hard to be the first to get an HD Bluetooth headset to market. "Our continued close collaboration with CSR has helped us secure early entry to the market for HD voice enabled headsets," said Harris Ahn, general manager of LG Accessory Product Business Leader Group.
