Qualified as a Chartered Chemist and as a materials scientist, Michael has used his fuel cell expertise to develop a new carbon capture process, which he is exploiting through new venture, Cambridge Carbon Capture.
At the end of the 1990s, Michael created and then led Sagentia's Fuel Cell Consultancy Group, developing it into one of Europe's foremost technology and business advisory services in this sector. In 2003 he co-founded Sagentia spin-out, CMR Fuel Cells, taking on the role of CEO and then CTO.
The company floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2005. Michael left in 2007 and became a director at Polysolar for two years.
