Hong Kong government sends deal-making cleantech delegation to Cambridge
Cambridge was chosen for the UK leg of a European cleantech fact-finding mission by Mr Edward Yau, Secretary of State for the Environment in Hong Kong, following work by Cambridge Cleantech.
The visit will take place on Monday and will see the group drop in on Cambridge Consultants, Ricardo and AmeyCespa's waste management park before participating in a roundtable discussion with a range of local cleantech companies including ARM, Cambustion, David Ball Group, Enval and Syrinix as well as the University of Cambridge.
According to a Cambridge Cleantech statement, the delegates are particularly interested in the cleantech sectors of low carbon vehicles, waste management and recycling and smart metering.
"We are delighted to have secured the visit, ahead of competing locations," said the CEO of Cambridge Cleantech, Martin Garratt. "This decision underlines the growing reputation of the cleantech cluster in and around Cambridge."
